Team Alignment & Direction

As the Director of a 40-person design team; alignment, motivations, and self-identify become incredibly important in defining the team and identifying how to make decisions that are in the group's best interest. To align a design team that large, I put together a collection of materials and activities to work through the goals of operating as a team, even on a huge variety of projects at any given time. The following are snippets and excerpts of that material as well as some behind the scenes on workshops held to facilitate making the source material.

New Business Strategy & Pitch Material

Communicating what UX is and more importantly what it means to a client was an essential skill not only as an individual designer but the director of a large design organization with expertise and skills in a variety of disciplines.  I routinely work with sales teams to create and present this aspect of the potential project, as well as create and direct the strategy for the account and project.
